Photo Gallery – Panhandle Women’s Project International Women’s Day March

I had the opportunity to meet the founders of the Panhandle’s Women Project recently at an International Women’s Rights March in Niceville, FL. These amazing young women are high school juniors in a highly partisan town, who decided to engage in the community and try to make the world a better place.

You can find them on Facebook here:

Their event was kind of a surprise to me. My wife woke me up March 8th and knowing I like supporting community organizations with my camera, asked me if I heard of the March. I said no and she mentioned that it was being organized by two young women – high school juniors – and that if I grabbed my camera and hustled, I may be able to give them some needed support. So my daughter and I grabbed a couple of cameras and took off. These are some of the photos we took.

Now our town being a partisan town and the Internet being the Internet, reaction to the March in our area was a mixed bag. But if you liked what they’ve done and accomplished in a fairly short amount of time, I’d like to encourage you to reach out and offer them your support at [email protected].

I think it’s critical for us as a society to encourage young leaders in their endeavors whenever we can and lend our energy to anyone who is willing to stand up for others in a healthy meaningful way, particularly when it’s hard. Again, that email is [email protected] and the link to their Facebook page is The Panhandle Women’s Project.
